மன்னார் பிரஜைகள் குழுவின் மனிதநேய பணிகள்.

கடந்த யுத்தத்தினால்     இடம்பெயர்ந்த பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் தமது உடமைகளை இழந்து, உரிமைகளை இழந்து, முக்கிய ஆவணங்களை இழந்து, பெரிதும் கஷ்டப்படுவதை உணர்ந்த மன்னார் பிரஜைகள் குழு கடந்த
ஆறு மாதங்களாக துயர் துடைப்பு பணிகளில் ஈடுபட்டு வந்தது.

இதனடிப்படையில் 12 வலுவூட்டல் பயிற்சிகள் கீழ்க்கண்ட இடங்களில் நடைபெற்று வந்தது. பாலப்பெருமாள்கட்டு, சன்னார், இரனை இலுப்பைக்குளம், குஞ்சிக்குளம், தலைமன்னார், பாப்பாமோட்டை, மடுவீதி, கூராய், பெரியபண்டிவிரிச்சான், அடம்பன், முள்ளிக்குளம், கன்னாட்டிää

இதில் 350 மேற்பட்ட மாதர்சங்கங்கள், கிராமிய அமைப்புக்கள், ஊனமுற்றோர், சிறையில் இருந்து மீண்டோர், குடும்ப உறவினரை இழந்த உறுப்பினர்கள், போன்றோர் கலந்து பயன்பெற்றனர்.

மேலும் முக்கிய ஆவணங்களை பெறுவதற்காக ஆறு நடமாடும் சேவையும், மன்னார் அரச அதிபர், உதவி அரசாங்க அதிபர், மாவட்ட பதிவாளர், போன்றோரின் உதவியுடன் கீழ்க்கண்ட இடங்களில் நடைபெற்றது. ஆண்டாங்குளம், கள்ளியடி, இரனை இலுப்பைக்குளம், தலைமன்னார், மடுவீதி, வெள்ளாங்குளம்ää

இதன்மூலம் 1,416 பொதுமக்கள் தமது முக்கிய ஆவணங்களான இறப்பு, பிறப்பு, திருமணம் ஆகிய அத்தாட்ச்சிப் பத்திரங்களுக்கு  விண்ணப்பித்து 52மூ ஆவணங்கள் கிடைக்கப்பெற்றும் 31மூ மானோருக்கு பதிவுகள் இல்லை என பதில் கடிதம் வந்துள்ளது, இவர்கள் தமது பகுதி பிரதேச செயலாளர் மூலமும், மாவட்ட பதிவாளர் மூலமும், மீண்டும் விண்ணப்பித்து புதிய பதிவுகளை மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு பிரஜைகள் குழு திட்ட உத்தியோகத்தர் அறியத் தருகின்றார்.

மேலும் நடமாடும் சேவையின் மூலம் 30 ற்கு மேற்பட்ட காலங்கடந்த திருமணங்களும், 14 ற்கு மேற்பட்ட காலங்கடந்த பிறப்புக்களும், பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கமை.

இத்திட்டத்திற்கு உதவி வழங்கிய சகல பாடசாலை அதிபர்களுக்கும், அரச உத்தியோகத்தர்களுக்கும், பிரஜைகள் குழு நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கின்றது.

At the moment it was estimated 26,000 population in Mannar UC limit, In another ten years time it will be 100,000.but out of 26,000, there are 15,000 are fishermen from Pallimunai, Uppukulam, Panankatti kottu, Emilnagar, Santhipuram, Thalvupadhu, Vankalai padu, & displacved Vidatyhalthivu fishermen at Thottawali.are engaged shallow fishing around the UC area Island.

Town is a flat terrain land with underneath hard silt layer below 18 “. during rainy season water couldn’t peculate underground due to this hard silt pan thus town get flooded in no time. Mannar need a full surveyed flood management system like Puttalam
town., last year UNOPS did 1/12 of drainage lines at Moor street & Esplanade road.

Now the UC had constructed several cemented road without any proper drainage underneath. during the next monsoon town houses will be under flood.

Mr.Jeremy liyanaga and Ms.Andrias who are Diaspora Australia are working hard with U C members and with the leading Citizens of
Mannar. It was glad to see that all walks of public attended Town and Country planning under Diaspora Australia and UC Mannar.

Under the Programme of ” MANNARIN MARUMALARCHI 2020 ” Recently Urban Development Authority from Colombo Mr.Aruna Prasana, & the
Northern UDA Director, Mr.Rajanayagam visited Mannar and did several Capacity building programme and obtained public inputs in developing of Mannar U C. limit.

On 28th, 29th & 30th there are three days programme which was held at the Mannar Town hall and kachcheri JAICA Conference hall attended by large distinguish crowd.

Former GA. Mr.S.M Crooz, ACLG, Lawyers, Dept Heads, ADP, Technical Officers, WRDS, RDS, UC members, Religious leaders ^ NGO reps
participated and gave constructive proposals to UDA & UC Mannar.

Mobile Service to school Children for Artificial limbs fittings

The Meththa Organization which is functioning at Mannar General
Hospital since its inception from 2010 have fixed more than 1,600
artificial limbs to victims of war. we conduct several Mobile Clinic
at Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Mankulam, IDP camps, Poonharin, Thunukkai,
& Vavuniya, etc.

We observed that more Female and children attend to these door step
mobile service and get benefited, On the request of School Principal
we have conducted a mobile service to specially to school children
,staff and for their parents at Illupaikadavai & Vellankulam GTMS
School on 26/6/12 in the Madhu Director of Education zone. Several
Students get benefited and their Parents too are served.

Meththa will go again on 5/7/12 Thursday to the same school for
fitting and to give Gait training to te beneficiaries. We are
prepared to serve any school children provided the Principal & the DE
to request to us. Kindly contact the liaison Officer of Meththa,Mr
Peter Sinclair to the Mannar General hospital. Dr B.Panagamuwa from UK
is available for these mobile workshops.

On the Invitation of ADP & AGA Thunukkai We will be visiting very soon
to Thunukkai DS office for screening, Taking measurement, Fitting
and for gait training.

METHTHA ORGANIZATION ACTIVITIES TO DISABLED IN MANNAR & WANNI

Dear Friends,
We appeal to the Diaspora Srilankans & kind heart people to help the war affected our Brothers, Sisters and Children ,who have been lost their limbs, above knee ,below knee, both limbs, upper limbs,( hands), both hands, Paralyses ,carrying shell pieces inside their body, short legs, Bed ridden patients etc.
 METHTHA Foundation since its inception at Mannar Base Hospital in 2010 , up to now catered more than 1,600 disabled with artificial limbs, mobility devices, lively hood assistance.etc.
 There are many women and children approach to us for Lively Hood assistance, Educational assistance, push cycle to go to school with their fittings, to do Cycle vender work and earn daily living. etc.
your every dollar or Euro will help a Srilankan disabled for their rehabilitation.

Mannar Association for Relief and Rehabilitation

Tailoring programme to School leavers, widows & single headed families.

MARR since they have formed in Mannar in  1985  have conducted more than 56  Six months  training  Classes to the School leavers, Mothers, widows, and Single headed  women families in 56 villages in the Five AGA/DS Divisions of Mannar had benefited  This helped around 1200 female to learn sewing and embroidery work .

Some of them having a monthly earning by establishing Tailoring  Centers  at their homes, 26 Students are running a group establishment, 14 no have trained themselves and conducting further training classes to other students.and get good income.

MARR seek well wishers from Srilankan Diaspora and other donors to help us to buy sewing machines to those widows who  have completed their training courses but want to have  monthly income by stitching clothes.  They should be issued with a sewing machine, each machine with accessories cost  Rs,35,000/= in Mannar.
